Champion System placed two of its key veterans on the injured list this week, with American Craig Lewis suffering a fractured elbow and Bobbie Traksel undergoing knee surgery. Two professional riders were both hit by vehicles whilst on training rides whilst they are preparing for the Ardennes Week which starts with The Amstel Gold Race on Sunday. Fränk Schleck has been handed a one-year ban as a result of testing positive for the diuretic Xipamide during last year’s Tour de France.
